Community Clean Up
The King Count Adopt-a-Road program is currently suspended through the end of 2021. While Covid-19 infection rates in King County have declined, the King County Road Services Division continues to experience staffing and operations impacts related to the pandemic and associated social distancing and safety protocols. To reduce community risk and exposure, volunteer groups are advised to hold off on scheduling any cleanups regardless of size, scope, and/or location.
We hope to be able to resume program operations in early 2022 with the appropriate safety protocols in place.
With more people returning to work and recreational activities, roadside litter has increased. If you see a large amount of litter that needs to be collected, please report it to the 24/7 Roads Helpline at 206-477-8100. A Roads crew will be dispatched to collect and dispose of the litter as resources allow.
If you'd like to volunteer when the program resumes, here is a link to the volunteer participation form which can be filled out in advance: https://kingcounty.gov/~/media/depts/local-services/roads/adopt-a-road/individual-participant-release-form.ashx?la=en
